If your veranda is south facing and has a glass roof, you may wish to consider some shading for those very hot summer days. This can either be installed with the veranda or retro fitted at a later date.
Our remote controlled Markilux underglass awning with tensioned track fixed edging can span up to 6m and is available in a wide range of colours. Bright colours also look great at night when used in conjunction with uplights. Alternatively a manually operated awning can be installed directly under the veranda roof.
Manually operated sectional blinds are also a popular choice as the entire area does not need to be shaded at the same time. These are operated with a ‘wand’ and run on cables fitted between the roof beams. When not in use, they are stored in a festoon style at the high side, where the veranda meets the wall. Two styles are available, one being woven in aluminium thread to really reflect the sun light!
